Short version: we collect only what you type into our quotation form (plus anything you send us by email or phone), and privacy-friendly usage statistics from Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. We do not sell your data, we do not run advertising or retargeting cookies, and analytics cookies can be blocked without affecting how the site works.

This website, baer-ventilation.com, is operated by Zhejiang Baer Electrical Technology Co., Ltd., trading as BAER Ventilation ("BAER", "we", "us"). We manufacture and export exhaust fans, inline duct fans, bathroom fans and industrial ventilation equipment.

2. Information you give us
When you submit the quotation form on this site, or contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp, we collect the information you choose to provide. The form asks for:
- your name and email address
- your company name and country
- the product, quantity and requirements you are inquiring about
Alongside these, our form gateway records a spam-protection flag and the page you submitted from, so we can tell a genuine inquiry from an automated submission. If you telephone or email us, we keep that correspondence.
3. Information collected automatically
When you browse this website we — and the analytics providers described in section 4 — record technical and usage information such as:
- IP address and approximate location (country / city level)
- device type, screen size, browser and operating system
- the page that referred you to us, the pages you view and how long you spend on them
- aggregated interaction data such as scrolling depth, clicks and heatmaps
We use this only in aggregate, to understand which pages and topics are useful to buyers. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors from it.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not send marketing newsletters to addresses collected through this site.

- Performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before a contract — for handling your quotation, sample and order;

7. Who we share information with
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run this website and answer your inquiry:

8. International transfers
We are based in China, and several providers listed above process data outside your own country — including in the United States and the European Union. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards offered by each provider, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. How long we keep information
- Inquiries and business correspondence: kept for as long as needed to serve you, and then for up to 3 years to meet export and accounting record-keeping requirements.
- Analytics and behaviour data: kept only for as long as each provider's retention setting allows — currently up to 14 months in Google Analytics 4 and up to 12 months in Microsoft Clarity.
- Security logs: kept for short periods by Cloudflare for fraud and abuse prevention.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you;
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data, subject to our legal record-keeping obligations;
- Restriction and objection — ask us to limit or stop certain processing;
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format;
- Withdraw consent — at any time, for processing based on consent;
- Lodge a complaint — with your local data protection supervisory authority.
If you are a California resident, you may also request to know, delete or correct personal information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — we do neither. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

11. Children
This website is intended for business and professional buyers. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
12. How we protect your data
This site is served over HTTPS. Access to inquiry data is limited to the sales staff who need it, and form submissions pass through an anti-spam gateway that filters automated traffic before it reaches our inbox. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the low-risk, business-contact nature of the data we hold.
