Panel Exhaust Fan OEM: The Spec Sheet We Need From You

Last updated: September 10, 2026

Fifteen items to fill in before you ask for an OEM quotation — and the three that change the minimum order.

An OEM order goes wrong in one of two ways: either the artwork arrives in a format the printer cannot use, or a specification that looked like a detail turns out to be a production change. This page is the specification sheet we work from on a panel fan OEM project. Fill it in before you request a quotation and the process is straightforward; leave gaps and the quotation will come back with assumptions in it.

For the commercial side of private label — what can be customised in general, the process step by step, and mould development — see our OEM and private label guide. This page is the panel-fan-specific specification detail.

The OEM Specification Sheet

#ItemOptionsType of changeNotes
1Model and sizeKLT-10B through KLT-30B, or a non-standard sizePrint / labelAny current model can be OEM branded.
2Voltage and frequency220 V 50 Hz, 220 V 60 Hz, 110 V 60 Hz, others on requestMotor buildA different frequency is a different motor batch. This is the item most often missed.
3Plug type or hard-wiredType G, Type C, Type A, or no plugAssemblyThe Gulf uses Type G. Specify explicitly — do not leave it open.
4Cable lengthStandard, or a specified lengthAssemblyLonger cable is a small cost increase and avoids on-site extension joints.
5Panel colourStandard colour, or a specified RALPaint / resin batchNon-standard colours carry a minimum batch quantity.
6Panel printingYour logo, model reference or brand markPrint / labelRequires vector artwork. See artwork requirements below.
7Grille styleStandard grille, or a specified patternMould-dependentA new grille pattern means tooling. Expect an MOQ and a lead-time impact.
8Shutter configurationGravity auto-shutter (standard) or motorisedAssemblyStandard on the KLT series.
9Timer or sensorNone, run-on timer, or humidity sensorAssemblyA factory option, not a field modification — must be specified at order stage.
10Individual boxBulk carton only, or individual retail boxPackagingRetail boxes add cost and volume. Allow for it in the loading plan.
11Carton printYour brand, model, quantity, country of originPrintConfirm the exact text and language.
12Shipping markYour specified mark, or oursPrintSend the mark as artwork, not as a description.
13Certification labelStandard, or your own brand labelLabelThe certificate stays in the manufacturer name; the label carries your brand.
14Master carton quantityStandard pcs per carton, or specifiedPackagingChanging it changes the CBM and therefore the container loading.
15PalletisationLoose cartons, or palletised to a specified standardPackingPalletising reduces container volume by 10 to 15 percent.

Print and Label Changes vs Production Changes

The fifteen items above are not equally difficult, and the difference decides your MOQ and your lead time. Split them into three groups:

GroupItemsEffect on MOQ and lead time
Print and label onlyPanel printing, carton print, shipping mark, certification labelLowest impact. Artwork setup is the main fixed cost, so this is where a modest order can still be branded.
Assembly and material variantVoltage and frequency, plug type, cable length, panel colour, shutter configuration, timer or sensor, packaging formatModerate. These consume a production batch, so the quantity per configuration has to be economic.
Tooling changeNew grille pattern, non-standard panel shape, new mouldHighest. Tooling cost has to be amortised, which is why a new mould carries the largest minimum.

Voltage and frequency sit in the middle group, and buyers treat them as if they were print. A 220 V 60 Hz unit for Saudi Arabia is a different motor batch from the standard 220 V 50 Hz build. It cannot be added as an afterthought to a production run that has already started.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the MOQ for a private label exhaust fan?

It depends on the type of change. Print and label only — your logo on the panel and the carton — carries the lowest minimum because the fixed cost is artwork setup. A different voltage or frequency, a different panel colour or a different packaging format needs an economic batch per configuration. A new grille or panel mould carries the highest minimum because tooling has to be amortised.

What artwork format do you need for OEM printing?

Vector files for anything printed: AI, EPS or PDF, with text converted to outlines, and colours given as Pantone or CMYK references. A JPEG or a screenshot cannot be printed cleanly on a moulded panel or a corrugated carton.

Can I put my brand on the fan and the carton?

Yes. Panel printing, carton print, the shipping mark and the certification label can all carry your brand. The certification itself stays in the manufacturer's name, and your brand appears on the product label — this is normal practice and we will explain exactly how it appears on the documents.

Does a different voltage affect the OEM minimum order quantity?

Yes. A different voltage or frequency means a different motor batch, so it is treated as a separate configuration with its own economic quantity. This catches buyers out most often on Saudi Arabian orders, which need a 60 Hz motor.

How long does an OEM exhaust fan order take?

Standard lead time is 15 to 25 days after deposit, depending on quantity. Add time for artwork approval and, on a first OEM order, for the pre-production sample. Projects that stall usually stall on artwork rather than on production.
